Origin Seal announces the joint acquisition of Polson and MBC Group, two recognised specialists in industrial sealing and insulation solutions.
With more than 60 years of experience, Polson and MBC Group serve a wide range of industrial applications with strong expertise in maritime applications. Their complementary know-how, product ranges and customer bases represent a strong strategic fit with Origin Seal’s existing activities. The company generates almost €12 million in sales.
This transaction marks a major milestone for Origin Seal’s strategy as the first international acquisition, aimed at building a leading European platform in industrial sealing solutions. The integration of Polson and MBC Group will reinforce technical capabilities, broaden market coverage and create new opportunities for innovation and cross-selling.
The existing management teams will remain in place and play a key role in the integration process, ensuring business continuity and supporting the group’s future development.
Following Interseal in 2023 and Atlantic Joint in 2024, Origin Seal continues to pursue its buy-and-build strategy and confirms its ambition to accelerate growth in France and across Europe. This acquisition represents the third add-on since Abenex became a shareholder in September 2022. Other acquisition opportunities are currently under review across Europe.
Gilles Nauche, CEO of Origin Seal, comments: “The acquisition of Polson and MBC Group is a key step in Origin Seal’s development. Their expertise and complementary activities will strengthen our industrial platform and support our ambition to build a leading European player in sealing solutions.”
Edouard Jeandey, Director adds: “This transaction reflects Origin Seal’s buy-and-build strategy and its ambition to expand at a European level. We are pleased to support the management team in building a strong and scalable industrial platform.”
